In 2015, after successfully entitling approximately five acres for the first Lidl grocery store in Wilmington, NC, Swain & Associates pivoted to working with Squeaky Shine Car Wash on the adjacent property. Squeaky Shine already operated four touchless car washes in the region and desired a store in the highly sought-after Landfall/ Wrightsville Beach submarket.

Swain & Associates worked diligently with Squeaky Shine to entitle the property for their use at both the Planning Commission and City Council levels, receiving unanimous approval from each board.

In January of 2022, Squeaky Shine opened for business, ensuring a dominant presence in a submarket with very high barriers to entry.
