Since 1979 Swain & Associates has developed for Advance Auto Parts, building and owning a number of stores across the state. In 2021 Advance needed a new store in Raleigh and turned to Swain to develop the store. The store faced a number of development hurdles that were the result of macroeconomic issues affecting the country in the wake of Covid-19 Pandemic.

Soaring inflation, labor and supply chain shortages made all aspects of the development challenging. To mitigate supply chain delays and deliver the store on time, Swain & Associates worked directly with Advance Auto Parts to design a new prototype that incorporated available materials that enabled the store to be delivered on time.
